Monthly Favorites
Hey Guys! So I always watch the monthly favorite videos on youtube from all the makeup gurus, so I figure it would be fun to have our own monthly favorites on here! We could all get ideas on good products and stuff from it too! So here goes my November Favorites!
1. MAC Pinkular Lipglass: I just have been wearing this all the time! It's a pinky copper lip gloss from the dark color set of the MAC Holiday lipgloss sets. It's like the perfect color when I just wear a really light eye or am in a hurry!
Pinkular is the last color on the right.

2. MaryKay Honey Spice Eyeshadow: this has been one of my favorite eyeshadows for a while now! It's a shimmery beige that is perfect for any look! I like to just wear it all over the lid and under the lower lashes with a bit of brown liner and mascara as my go to everyday look since I'm always in a hurry. It also goes perfect with my Pinkular lipgloss!

3. Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Strawburn: I love this stuff! I finally found a color that has the right amount of strawberry blonde tinge, but still ash blonde enough for my brows. It is perfect!

4. MaryKay Concealer in Ivory 2: this is a pink undertoned concealer, and it is really great for under your eyes especially. I love the consistency of it because it's creamy and thick, and I only need the tiniest bit to do my whole face. Now that it's winter, I am even paler and can't wear the yellow undertone colors I use during the summer. My skin is weird because it's like yellow undertone in the summer, but still pale, and peachish pink in the winter. But this concealer is way better than I ever expected!

5. Fresh Supernova Mascara: I just got this in the lash stash from sephora, so I haven't had it the whole month, but it is amazing! I love this mascara and definitely want to get the full size!

6. Makeup Forever Duo Mat Powder Foundation + PUR Minerals Powder Foundation Brush: these make the perfect coverage for my skin, and make it look flawless. I love it!

7. Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Bourbon: I have had this for a while, but I just started using again like everyday since it is the perfect shimmery dark brown for everyday!

8. MAC Sculpt & Shape Duo in Bone Beige and Emphasize: I have been into highlighters and contour powders so much lately! I just love the effect this gives my face! It just makes it look perfect!

9. Maybelline Color Sensation Lipstick in Pink Quartz: This is a dark pinkey purple lipstick with a gold duochromey shimmer that is so cool! If I turn my face different ways, there is a gold shimmer! hehe
I really love lipcolors with gold shimmer, so this is a definite fave in my book! Again, I like this color for my on the go quick makeup looks!

Time for me to get moving for the day and get a shower! Hope to see all your guys' faves for the next few months!
Favorites of 2009!!!!
Hey Everyone! So to ring in the new year, I thought I'd do a favorites of 2009 altogether! THere were so many things I got into in 2009, and this is the year I started really getting into makeup! Before I would use expensive brands, but I didn't know how to apply and do make up as an art. Now, I am a full-fledged makeup addict and damn proud! Hehe
So here goes my faves of 2009!
1. Mary Kay Lipstick in Sheer Blush: This lipstick is one of my favorite lipsticks of all time. It is always a favorite of any customers I have, and it's my favorite too! It's a light frosty mauvish pink that is sort of like lavendar but not really. It is just the perfect color for my skin tone!!! And it looks great on most skin tones in fact. It's creamy and thick and stays on for hours. It's just the perfect lipstick! I started using it in August and I've been hooked ever since!

2. Mary Kay Eyeshadow in Honey Spice: Again, another Mary Kay item! I started using this in August or so, too, and I fell in love with it! It's a warm toned beige color with lots of beautiful shimmer. I love the consistency of it, and it's one of the MK eyeshadows that are really pigmented. I love it!

3. PUR Minerals 4-in-1 Mineral Pressed Powder Foundation and Brush: This powder foundation was the first one I'd tried, and I loved it! I used this for half of 2009 until I ran out. After that I started trying out new powder foundations, but this one was definitely amazing. It gave me coverage of a concealer, a foundation, and a setting powder! It's four in one and says it has a primer, foundation, concealer, and setting powder parts of it. The brush that you use with it is amazing as well. This is the only brush I use when I want coverage from my powder foundations! It's the best powder foundation brush I've ever found.

4. MAC 217 Brush: This is the first MAC brush I ever bought, and it is the best one I own! This brush made crease work so much easier and my makeup look so much better! This brush really does all the work! I can't imagine how I did my makeup before this brush!

5. Essence of Beauty Brushes: These are so awesome and so cheap! They are at CVS, and the best set definitely is the Double ended brushes. There are 3 brushes, well actually six if you count the duo ends, and they are so soft and work so well! I use the blush/blender every day for contouring and highlighting. It's perfect! And the eye brush duo- a big blender and an angled brush, is great for the outer corner and blending the brow bone highlight! Before I got my 227 from MAC, I was using this one every single day!

6. Meow Cosmetics Tombstone Pigment: This came out around Halloween in a limited edition collection, and it is the most awesome gunmetal color! It has multi-color shimmer in it, and then has a dark silvery gunmetal base color. It's just really unique and gorgeous on everyone with light skin.

7. Feline Kohl Power (MAC): this is the blackest of black eyeliners, and while it smudges a lot, it's so black and has this sort of vinyl shiny black look (but not sparkley) when it's on the waterline that everyone just loves it. Although it disappointed me at first after hearing all the hype about it, I realized that it is definitely an awesome pencil liner!!

8. MAC Morning Glory Lustreglass: This is the best lavendar but not tooo purple lipgloss I've found because it's subtle but still cool toned and beautiful. As all of you probably know, I"m obsessed with lavendar gloss, so of course I love it!
9. Benefit Bad Gal Lash: Over 2009 I loved this mascara a whole lot, mainly because it makes my lashes look naturally long and sexy! Instead of making them too thick or spidery or clumpy, it defines them (which is something i LOVE), and also lengthens (the other property in mascara that I need!). I have gone through 3 of the little sample Bad Gal Lashes since I always get the Sephora Lash Stash or Beauty Insider samples, and I have a brand new one I'm waiting to open because it's my favorite!

10. Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Strawburn: This is the first brow product I've ever gotten, and I must say it's so unique in its color that I haven't found anything like this color. It's for those of us who have warm blonde or strawberry blonde, or even warm reddish light browns; basically anyone with warm toned hair with a little bit of strawberry tinge. It looks amazing with my hair and actually matches perfectly. It stays in place all day and has two colors to choose from or use both (which is what I do).

11. Coastal Scents Palettes: Coastal Scents has been famous this year for all their palettes! While a lot of them are on ebay too, I'm just going to call them coastal scents lol. I have the 88 shimmer and the 28 neutral, and my sister has the double stack shimmer shadow & blush, the blush and contour, the 28 neutral also, and the 88 matte. I would say my favorite so far is the 28 neutrals just because the shadows are so creamy (but dry powder lol) and just like MAC shadows. They are the perfect neutral everyday shades and blending shades as well. The 88 palettes have a lot of awesome bright colors, which I love, but I find myself reaching for the neutrals more often. But all in all, these palettes have made history in beauty!

12. Stila Talking Smokey Eyes Quad (not the original- the one with the silvers): This was one of the best quads I loved this year, and i got it at the end of 2008, but I've used it sooooo much this year! It's still one of my favorites, even though now I got a lots of makeups over the year and learned so much about beauty. It's just an outstanding quad with pigmented shadows that are so soft and creamy. There is a shimmery white (beautiful!), a beautiful bright silver, a dark grey (satin texture), and a matte black (darkest black I own!). It even has directions and talks to tell you how to put on the eyeshadow. Hehe

13. Watches: My Citizen Eco-Drive watch is my favorite piece of jewelry I own ever! I love nice watches now! I got this early 2009, and it is silver with diamonds, and the Eco-drives run off of light, so I will never have to replace the battery. These watches are supposed to be the sturdiest too and last forever! Yay!
This one is the closest I could find to the one I have:
14. Too Faced Girls Dig Pearls Lip Glosses: I have the one in Mermaid, and I loved these glosses because they are extremely glittery and shimmery with multicolor pearlescent shimmers. They are so pretty! But they all look like the same color on your lips. Still, though, so beautiful!

Well, this is all I can think of at the moment that were my favorites, so Happy New Year! Good night everyone!

DECEMBER FAVORITES!!
Hey Guys! So I am feeling so bored since I have nothing to do, no money to do anything, and none of my christmas presents have arrived yet (due to holiday shipping issues apparently). This means tons of blog posts when I am not working on my grad school stuff and my other step work and stuff. So here are my december favorites!
1. Mary Kay Silky Caramel Eyeshadow: I feel like this is my equivalent to MAC's Soft Brown eyeshadow. It's like the best blending color for dark looks to blend out my crease into my brow bone.
2. MAC Vanilla Eyeshadow: Since I have never had this, I had to try it! I really love it, and it's even better than my previous favorite highlighter, Blanc Type. I am so happy I finally was sensible and got it!
3. Korres Jasmine Lip Butter: This is the perfect nudey pink for me. It's a lip butter, so you would think it wouldn't be used as a lip color, but it actually is pretty pigmented and is a gorgeous light pink that actually looks good on me for once! I never find pinks that look nice on me, but this one is perfect! I am so glad I got this too!
4. Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Mildew: I have been using this a lot since it's the holidays! It's a dark green with shimmer that is just gorgeous with golds. It's equivalent to MAC's Humid I think. I have the Ammo palette that I gave to my sister, so I used it from there. That palette has my favorite colors all gone- Polyester Bride, Maui Wowie, Sin, Smog- that's why I gave it to her hehe. :) It still has Mildew, Last Call, Oil Slick, Chopper, Grifter, and maybe another one too. So that is a good deal for her hehe.
5. Broccoli Casserole: My mom makes amazing broccoli casserole that I love to have around the holidays! I am actually eating a plate right now! It's broccoli, bread crumbs, cheese, cream cheese, flour, milk, salt, butter, and I think that's it. It's amazing! Ahhh! Lol
6. Lush Dark Angels: since I have gotten this a week or two ago, I have loved it! I only use it once a day or once every two days, but it is perfect for what I am dealing with. I used to have dry skin, but once I started taking more care of it, I found that it actually is oily or combination. I have been having acne and break outs that never end, and oil that ends up ruining my foundation after a few hours on my chin, nose, forhead, etc. I never have had acne, hardly ever any pimples, so I didn't know what to do! So when I was at Lush, they gave me a sample of this to help with the oil. It really soaks up that oil and helps out a lot. But it doesn't help as much with the pimples, so I got something else for that.
7. Lush Cupcake Mask: This is what I got to help with the acne, teenage breakout issue I have been having. I love this mask, and it is really helping so much! It makes the acne calm down, and it is less red after I use this. It should hopefully help take away all of the breakout god willing if I use it every other day or so for a week or two. I really can't stand having oily skin damn it!
8. Velocity Oil-Free Light Moisturizer: I have always loved this stuff, but especially now since I have oily skin! It is so light that it doesn't cause my skin to be oilier, it just moisturizes really nicely without clogging my pores. It leaves my skin feeling clean, like as if I didn't put any moisturizer on, and it also helps with the dry patches I have, too! It is my favorite moisturizer I have ever used by far!
9. Studio Fix Powder Foundation: Ok, so even though I don't have one of my own yet (my mom's gonna get me one for xmas on Monday), I have been using my sister's to try it out before I buy one for myself! I have always loved powder foundations, but the reason I like this one over the others I have tried is that while it gives phenomenal coverage with the right brush, it feels light and airy and soft like there is nothing there. With my other powder foundations, I felt like there was definitely powder on my face and it felt kind of heavy. With this, although I use a lot with my flat edged powder brush from PUR, it still feels light and like I have nothing on. I can't wait to have my own!
Yeah, I know a lot of this was on my blog in my haul post, but I just love it all so I had to talk about it again! :)
Merry Christmas or whatever you celebrate be it Haunukkah (spelling's wrong, I know), Kwanzaa or anything else and Have a Happy New Year!
I'll show you guys some pics of makeup I do today since I didn't wear any makeup at all yesterday for Christmas because I did absolutely nothing!
